writing is a relatively recent invention.while people have most likely been speaking since the beginning of human society hundreds of thousands of years age, the most ancient preserved examples of writing are only about 7,000 years old.

writing is much less widespread than speech.many languages even today exist only in spoken form.
people generally start speaking during the first two years of life. The ability to speak is automatic and is probably inborn rather than learned.writing,however, has to be consciously learned and typically builds on speech ability.

writing is a reflection of speech,all writing systems are based,in one way or another,on the sound systems they represent;a particular sign or letter always represents some unit of sound in the spoken language. it is never the case that the sound system of a language is based on a particular system of writing.

Teaching English As a Second Language is More Significant Than Ever By Roman Holland

Several months ago, I covered an event on immigration reform for a local newspaper where one of the topics discussed was the language barrier that a lot of immigrants face as well as the isolation that they really feel to be a result. The discussion looked at a variety of techniques to deal with this concern, and a nun stood up and told the audience that she had been teaching English as being a second language.
She told us that she came from a relatively huge congregation, using a sizable Asian and Latino population that could either not speak English at all or did not speak it properly sufficient to really feel confident when communicating with English speakers.
She pointed out that teaching English being a second language helped break down lots of the barriers between the individuals of distinct cultures. The reality is, she stated, that language will be the most essential method to communicate and realize diverse groups of folks.
At her church, she had started with three ESL lessons, and explained that within two years they had been up to 17 lessons, including various for both adults and kids. The lessons had been quite successful in bridging the communication gap at her church and from the community where she lived.
She stated that she believed everyone was known as to accomplish anything in life, and proclaimed she believed that this was what she was meant to try and do. She had been teaching English as being a second language for a number of years prior to doing so at the parish where she currently resides, and stated the courses continually proved being beneficial to the communities where she lived.
One more speaker got up and mentioned that he thought teaching English being a second language was one thing that, in his experience, was some thing for which non-English speakers had been very grateful. He mentioned the individuals he worked with inside courses he taught desperately wanted to understand how to speak the language.
I believe this concern goes beyond the boundaries on the church, too, as the foreign-born population with the United States continues to grow.
Teaching English like a second language is paramount in such places as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, for instance, exactly where the Latino populations are expanding, having a big amount born in Mexico exactly where the very first and occasionally only language learned is Spanish.
One of the things that has continually created me quite proud being an American may be the opportunities that we all have along with the freedoms we all appreciate. I believe that those opportunities must be offered for anyone brave adequate to leave their house nation and come here, and if teaching English like a second language will make this nation an even greater place for a big amount of individuals, it needs to be continued.
